Abandono e permanência no rúgbi infantil na Argentina. Análise pedagógica em uma união regional de rúgbi (2016-2024)

Resumo
O abandono da prática esportiva durante a infância constitui um fenômeno de relevância pedagógica, social e esportiva, especialmente em esportes coletivos como o rugby. O presente estudo analisa os fatores associados à continuidade e ao abandono no rugby infantil na Argentina, com atenção a clubes pertencentes a uma união regional de rugby. Adota-se uma abordagem descritivo-interpretativa, considerando meninos e meninas de 6 a 13 anos, distribuídos em duas faixas etárias: 6–9 e 10–13 anos. Os dados foram coletados por meio da análise de 716 registros institucionais não publicados oficialmente e de questionários semiestruturados abertos destinados a treinadores e integrantes das famílias. Os resultados indicam que o abandono precoce está associado a experiências pedagógicas negativas, baixa percepção de competência e climas motivacionais pouco inclusivos. Entre os 6 e 9 anos, o jogo, a diversão e a exploração motora constituem fatores fundamentais para a permanência. Entre os 10 e 13 anos, a intensificação precoce do treinamento técnico e os processos seletivos aumentam o risco de abandono. Conclui-se que a continuidade depende da qualidade pedagógica, da formação do treinador e do apoio institucional, incluindo aspectos de gestão e econômicos.
