The identity crisis of Physical Education. Diagnosis and explanation

Abstract
This article analyses the identity crisis in which Physical Education is immersed. To do so, the current state of affairs of the discipline is described taking into consideration its main problems to explain, later, the ideologies that coexist in the field. The author suggests the ´theory of the self reproducing failure of PE’ as a hypothesis to show the crisis above mentioned. Finally, alternatives for improvement are drawn in the conclusion
