The body and the city. Public space, urban borders and body practices

Abstract

This article is a summary of the workshop "Problems of the body and the City" held in the 9 § Argentine and 4 § Latin American Congress of Physical Education and Science. From the presentations and discussions among the participants, in this paper we collect two key emerging issues to think about body practices in the city: public space as a meeting point between space and social practices and urban boundaries as the changing and contested product of social practices in the city
