Sacrifice and sociability during training of master swimmers

Abstract

This article analyzes the way in which participation in the training of a group of master swimmers [adults] expresses a disposition toward physical activity and socialization with peers. Also, it seeks to show how the process of learning a body technique in a practical and collective manner takes place during training and the specific senses those notions of suffering and sacrifice acquiere in this process. We use a strategy of empirical approach based on qualitative techniques of data production and analysis, conducting interviews and etnographic fieldwork
