Abstract

This research explores High-Intensity Functional Training (HIFT) as a complementary methodology in basketball, arguing for its strategic inclusion to enhance performance. A review of 45 articles was conducted, with 23 relevant studies selected from recognized scientific databases. The findings indicate that HIFT, due to its integrated cardiovascular, neuromuscular, and metabolic approach, is an efficient option for addressing the physical demands of basketball, a sport that combines aerobic and anaerobic components. It is concluded that the application of HIFT can optimize the planning and progression of training, enhancing high performance in basketball players.
