Força Explosiva de Membros Inferiores. Valores de Referência de Adolescentes da Cidade de Nampula, Moçambique

A força explosiva de membros inferiores é uma das principais componentes da aptidão musculoesquelética relacionada tanto à saúde, como ao desempenho desportivo. O objectivo deste estudo, é estabelecer valores de referência de força explosiva de membros inferiores de adolescentes da Cidade de Nampula, Moçambique. Trata-se de um estudo observacional e transversal cuja amostra foi de 2.545 adolescentes de 10 a 16 anos de ambos os sexos. Os dados foram colectados através do teste de salto horizontal e sua análise foi baseada na estatística descritiva de base, tendo-se gerado os valores de percentis 3, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 e 97. O T-test de medidas independentes e ANOVA one way foram usados para comparar o desempenho dos adolescentes em função do sexo e idade respectivamente. Os resultados indicaram valores de percentil 50 que variam de 153cm a 182cm em masculino e 143cm a 152cm em feminino. As diferenças estatísticas entre o sexo, foram evidentes em todas as idades, com o sexo masculino a apresentar valores elevados. Os valores de referência de força explosiva de membros inferiores correspondentes a esses percentis serão úteis tanto para situar o desempenho dos adolescentes, como para monitorar a sua variação nos anos posteriores.
